R-Commerce and regulated entrepreneurship

  • Regulated business ownership
  • Market access and licensing
  • Compliance and regulatory pathways
  • Growth in regulated industries

First we made it cheaper. Then we changed the model.

Through HCPA, Kyle spent years helping businesses enter and operate in regulated industries.

Across market after market, he saw the same problem.

Large operators had internal teams. Well-funded founders could afford lawyers, consultants and specialist support. Everyone else faced a regulatory pathway that could be expensive, fragmented and difficult to navigate.

HCPA helped change that by making specialist support more accessible. But a service-led model could only go so far.

Dallo is the next step.

The idea is to take more of the knowledge that once sat with consultants and turn it into technology, so more entrepreneurs can find the opportunity, understand what it takes to enter and get through the process without needing a huge advisory budget.

The old model priced people out.

When Kyle started HCPA, regulated business was still largely built for companies with internal teams or founders who could afford specialist advice.

He had seen the extreme end of that model first-hand, including an NDIS business quoted $800,000 to get set up through traditional external advisers.

HCPA helped bring work like that down to under $10,000.

Dallo pushes the same idea further. By turning more of the repeatable setup and regulatory work into technology, the cost can come down again into the hundreds of dollars, depending on the industry.

$800,000 → under $10,000 → 100s.

That changes more than the price.

It changes who gets to play.

R-Commerce is the opportunity hiding behind the rules.

Across healthcare, education, pharmaceuticals, care gambling, financial, trades, the animal industry and much more, Kyle kept seeing the same commercial pattern.

There is demand. There is a regulatory gate. There is a pathway through it.

Once you are in, there is a business to run, grow and expand.

That thinking became the foundation for R-Commerce: treating regulated industries as a commercial category, not just a collection of compliance problems.

The barrier is part of the opportunity.

Kyle’s view is simple: regulation should be understood, not feared. A licence or approval can make a market harder to enter, but it can also limit the number of competitors able to enter it.

Approval gets you access.

What you do with that access is the business.

Dallo is what comes next.

Kyle sees R-Commerce following a similar shift to ecommerce.

As the tools around ecommerce became easier to use, more people could start and run businesses online.

Kyle believes regulated business is ready for the same shift.

The regulations do not disappear. The pathway gets easier.

Dallo has been built to make that happen, using technology to simplify more of the setup, licensing and ongoing work that has traditionally depended on advisers, consultants and disconnected systems.

More people get in. More opportunities become possible.
